She wasn't at all obligated to answer him any more than he was obligated to answer her, yet Jabi felt charitable enough to reply, "No. Kouga's summon said nothing about the curse." Jabi paused, wondering if she should even divulge this much, then went with the affirmative. "It seems that Zaruba isn't well." And apparently, even Kouga's new Makai Priest partner wasn't enough to heal him.

Jabi felt oddly pleased with that.
