Part of Boromir was thankful his brother had not seen him at his worst or witnessed his weakness--that of Isildur, and of all men. He did not even begin to think of what Frodo might have had to say about his momentary lapse in judgment and sanity.

Shifting in his seat, Boromir motioned to the innkeep for another ale.
