The fact was, her nerves were probably keeping her from noticing his. It was silly, feeling nervous around him now, for Tomoko almost never did in all the years they've known each other. Maybe it was the fact that he called it a 'date' that had her on the edge. The two of them had yet to discuss the status of their relationship and Tomoko was comfortable that way, when neither of them were putting labels on a friendship that wasn't really friendship per se. It was an odd sort of thing and Tomoko liked it better that way.
Of course, not all things stayed in the realms of the comfortable, and Tomoko had grown and experienced enough to understand it.
