"Look, just because it's historical and has subtitles, it doesn't mean it's going to be boring. It's gotten excellent reviews. And besides, it's not as if you're doing anything tonight. I don't see any hot dates lining up at the door, do you?" Wesley turned to dramatically illustrate his point.

"...yes, because the way to a woman's heart is to emphasize the patheticness that is her love life. No wonder you don't have any hot dates lining up on your door, Wes." The look she gave him was scathing, and it was only broken when Cordelia got to look at where she'd placed her bag.

Oh, wait - the paperworks. Yikes! "Besides, I have things to do today. Go ask Gunn for a date if you're bored."

"What things?" He put his hands on his hips and moved around the desk. "Besides, I already asked Gunn and he...had about the same sort of reaction you did." The last past was a bit of a rueful admission. Did no-one appreciate foreign films anymore?

"You know-- work-related things." She held up the semi-squashed papers for emphasis. "It's what people do in this office if they want to get underpaid, remember?"
